Dream my ideal, live my life

I am honored to be with you today at there to share the feelings and ideals of mine. At the same time, thanks for my university provide the chance for me.

The following paragraph will tell you about my university and ideals.

Many   Chinese parents regard their children’s success in school as the only   source of happiness. In fact, since the year of 1977 when it was brought   back again, GAOKAO has been seen as a turning point of the destiny of   millions of students. Students could only qualify themselves with high   scores in GAOKAO. It is a common phenomenon in China, that students stay   up all night to recite books, not to mention that their parents work   hard only to afford their kids tuition fees in cram schools. I believe   all contestants here have experienced this throughout their teenage   life. However, a disappointing fact is that when we are finally admitted   to colleges, we lose all the motivation and passion of life. We don’t   know why we should come here except for satisfying our parents. A   university maybe the dream theater for many other people, but it has   nothing to do with you if you have no dreams to realize in the future.   What matters is not where we are, but what we do with the resources   around us. You must know who you are, instead of care about your degree   or the fame of the college. A person is only defined by his behavior.   You will shine anywhere as long as you believe that you are a diamond,   and the ones who have no passion for lives would rot even if they are   put in the best refrigerator.

Considering   "who you are" and "who you want to be", we have to talk about our   ideal. Ideal is not equal with dream. How much your desire to success   determines whether you can realize the target. My ideal is to be a   teacher, so I take education and psychology this term. In addition, my   clear logic and good ability to express made me did well in my main   course. Many classmates usually ask me questions on economics and   investment. I think this is an invisible power which push me forward   towards my ideal step by step. To different people, the word "ideal" may   mean different things. To some, it means success and fame in their   career; to others, a peaceful life.

The   process of pursuing ideal is like the process of gold washing. When   your dreams are thrown into the river of actuality, you make great   efforts to fishing it, which is your ideal.

So,   to set up an ideal does not merely mean to go without doing anything.   Real and concrete action should be taken. For us students, the most   important thing to do is to study both inside and outside school. We   should not be bookworms, but to be well-equipped and prepared for the   pursuit of our ideals. Finally, I want to say that, if you identify your   way, the world is gonna give its way to you.

When   tomorrow turns in today, yesterday, and someday that no more important   in your memory, we suddenly realize that we are pushed forward by time.   This is not a train in still in which you may feel forward when another   train goes by. It is the truth that we’ve all grown up. And we become   different. As a result, dream what you want to dream; go where you want   to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one youth and one   life to do all the things you want to do.
